It brings us immense joy to share the wonderful news that, with divine blessings, Gurdwara Sikh Sangat of Timmins joyously celebrated Northern Ontario's 1st Annual Khalsa Day Parade on Saturday, June 25, 2022, in the heart of Timmins, Ontario. We fondly reflect on this significant occasion and extend our heartfelt gratitude to every community member and organization that joined us in receiving the divine blessings and partaking in the festive celebrations.

Timmins hosts its inaugural Khalsa Day on June 25, celebrating Sikh culture with a downtown parade, traditional ceremonies, and free food. The day culminates in a concert by Bhangra sensation Jazzy B at Mattagami Historical Conservation Area, made possible by the Timmins Economic Development Corporation's $60,000 grant.

We had the honor of participating in the tour of the Consulate General of India during his visit to Timmins today. We were invited to the Gurdwara to share a traditional dish and had the pleasure of hosting Mrs. Apoorva Srivastava at Boreal College. What a pleasure!
